Tattoo regrets

Others make a choice that they regret. Some don't even bother trying it as they know it'll lead to permanent results. In this case, tattoo removals have been in extreme demand due to the many regretful people. In fact, in this live science article, seventeen percent of people who get tattoos regret their choice of getting a tattoo. But, thanks to Laser Removal, people could have a 2nd chance or even more if they keep on making bad decisions. How the process works is what I'll be explaining in his blog.


LASER REMOVAL:

This painful tool involves the use of a artificial laser beam. The tattoo then absorbs the light which causes the ink to transform into a multiplicity of smaller. The body does the rest and you are now able to remove the tattoo off our skin. Despite this, some colors may react slower like green, purple, and light orange. treatments. However, most people consider this precedere as a rubber band "snapped" against your skin.

On the other hand for this operation, there's chances that you may have scars, burns, and other skin damages that could greatly affect your body. There's a subsitute "infintiink" which requires less lasering and at the same time, gives pernament results. This means less pain and less expense.

Icebergs: Just pieces of ice or something promising

When I first think of icebergs, all I think of is little obstacles in the sea that blocks boats and ships from passing such as the titantic. However despite this, the iceberg has brought many benefits to the environment instead of just being a piece of ice. Well according to Wayne Perry from Livescience.com, "After three expeditions to Iceberg Alley, the team found that the icebergs gradually release iron, a nutrient crucial for life, as they melt, enhancing the plant life in the water around them." Well to vividly explain it, as the glaciers move they grind up various minerals like rock. The dust and rock will spread toward the marine life that feeds on iron like the phytoplankton. It's sort of like a chain cycle. To continue it off, icebergs also helps with global warming. For unknown reasons, carbon dioxide falls more often around an iceberg than a normal area. According to the article, MBRI engineers used a sediment cup to move around the iceberg. This chain would cause a "halo" effect. Ken Smith, a biologist hopes to find more about this topic. Until then, let's hope it brings changes toward global warming.

Tooth Pick Fish Lab

The Statistics

The "Toothpick Fish" are a special kind of fish that adapt and change colors at the time of need. In order for them to "adjust" to the settings, we came to help and decided to pick out two toothpicks to determine the scale colors they would receive. We were the fate of their lives. Before I could go on any further for this lab, the most important info I need to know is that the green allele (G) is dominant to all the other alleles, the red allele (r) is recessive to green and incompletely dominant to yellow,and that the yellow allele (y) is recessive to green and incompletely. With this amount of data, the genotypes were destined to be made.

Here's a "chart" of the possible genotypes and phenotypes.

There are twelve fish at the start each varying in color. Each of them go through the battle of survival. The environment changes through the generations ranging from seaweed and algae to a empty river full of rocks and sand. These fish will have to go through four generations of pain and terror. Wish them luck as death has come to gobble them. RAWR 0-0...

The Game of Survival
Round 1

The battle for life has began and the fish are about to enter in the first generation. As my partner and me place our hand inside the clear plastic cup controlling fate, our offspring had first came out as yellow. Success! This could be the start of something revolutionary. However, it became depressing as the yellow fish had become the one oddball. In the end of generation one, green had seven whooping fish on its side while orange had four. Yellow only had one and red was nowhere to be seen. Six of the green fish had been heterozygous dominant while one of them was homozygous. The orange had naturally been co-dominant with the yellow and red while yellow was born the way it was. Sadly, the yellow had not been able to fit in with the algae surroundings in the lake we put the fish in. The yellow species had died out for now...

Round Two:
Generation two has come and a new batch of freshly bred fish has been mated. It seems that the green population has decreased to six fish. There is only one red fish left and the orange fish population has stayed the same. The alleles has changed and now seven yellow genes remain. Maybe it could be the start of a revolution? The algae still remains and nothing exciting happens in this generation.

Round Three:
Nothing changes in this round. All the fish remain alive with their new look. It still seems all the fish are going for the green bandwagon. Ten green fish now live in harmony while one red stays the same. Eight green fish are heterozygous dominant, with four of them having the yellow allele in them. The other two are part red.

The results are not being made due to the "screen not working".

Round 4.
DISASTER STRIKE. A factory waste harms the algae and it all disappears. Rocks are only left in the pond... Only the one red fish survive and two orange fish are able to hide. Everyone else dies. Only three fish remain. Let us remember them in peace...

Rugrats sure influenced these babies o.o

The reason I chose the topic, babies as it fit in with a certain someone's event and plus, it reminded me of my child days. I remembered those rug rats and how they would usually communicate each other whilst the adults would have no idea that they're "saving the world". It did not hit me that this could acvtually be based on rea l life.

How can Babies "understand our language" at 4 months?:
Babies at young age can easily understand each other's point of view like in the article of Live Science I found, " an angry dog or a friendly dog". Well, the babies may sense the idea of size could effect the way infants look into the world. For example, there's this big monster and this little puppy dog with him. Who do you think would be more scared? Maybe an idea like this could explain and help babies learn the rights. What surprised me in the article was about if you showed pictures or images of what not to do and the punishment, the baby could easily take not of it. This effect can be passed on for years and while all the other kids are cursing, your child could have manners like a prince.

The Experiment by Thomsen, a professor:
Babies were put in a room and looked at a tv with blocks. As the blocks tried to push each other, the big one won. However, ten months later the babies expected the big block to win as they kept their eyes glued onto it. However, as the big block lost to the little one, the baby just yawned and didn't care.


What have I learned from this?:
Well, now the researchers are trying to figure out if the babies would react to the winners or loser. Maybe that could be the case as it's a natural attitude many people commonly have. This outbreak has started a new fad for people to wonder. Maybe I could the next time, use this accordingly to the next time i saw a baby.

Elephant FISH and Sharks. There's a similarity? 0_0

The thought of an elephant fish shocked me. To my surprise, I had not even known that "we humans" are related to fish!!! It turns out that that same gene in those fish control the devolepment of our body parts controls the growth of some of the appendages for that fish! Calling it the "sonic hedgehog gene" is responsible for deciding whether to turn the embryo into a elephant fish or a shark. Basically, they're close-distant relatives. To find this out, scientists went diving for these eggs and taking them to the lab. As they took control of the genes for the shark embryo, they were able to see that elephant fish came to have one brachial ray while sharks have five. This could have been a sign of evolution. While they tried the gene on the dogfish sharks, it had ended up with a growth of fins just like the other sharks. Maybe the "Sonic Hedgehog" gene could allow evolution into the different animals in the sea. Neil Shubin, a professor at Chicago University says "Not only are we seeing the history of how organs are built, but we're seeing the history of the tool kit." The next step? Based on the article on Livescience.com, they will try to use the "Sonic Hedgehog" to prove the comparison between cl gene activity and brachial ray growth.

Parasites in a Rabbit



As you can see in this picture, it shows a rabbit who is feasting on some nearby grass. Little did he know that a tape worm was attached to one of his meals. Paratism is shown here as the rabbit has an intruder in its body. Although the hare shown is injured, the parasite or the tape worm is benefited by recieving a new home/meal. Despite the fact that this rabbit has a living organism, the tapeworm tries not to kill the rabbit. If it were to kill the rabbit, then the tapeworm were to die with its prey. You're wondering how I could tell that it was harmed? Well, I noticed that the grass had this worm on it which was kind of white and very small.. After like a day, a rabbit came and ate some of the grass. I don't know if it ate the parasite but by the time his lunch was over, about 3/4 of the grass was gone. I just had to take a picture of that. Although I do feel bad for this poor rabbit, at least it cleaned up our backyard from grass.
